about

At Mind Body Therapy I aim to lean on my own experiences to deliver a superior level of treatment that understands the balance between physical and mental health.

My practice reflects the circumstances of modern life and addresses common symptoms of stress though massage and mindfulness.

I was born in 1987 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Early in my career, I became a professional hockey player and quickly discovered the importance of food, nutrition, and recovery. After high school, I decided to pursue this understanding further and deepen my knowledge of massage therapy itself. In 2009 became a qualified practitioner, I began working alongside a soccer team providing sportive massage during sessions.

Whilst with the team, my passion for food grew and eventually led me along another path before moving to Australia. I shifted my focus across to the hospitality business and for ten years used cooking to champion learning about food, lifestyle and how to sustain our bodies in a
healthy way.

Six years ago, a big change occurred.

I began to suffer from significant stress-related illness, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. This change prompted a re-evaluation. I discovered meditation, and from that moment, the importance of breathing and reflection in building a healthy mind. I was able to overcome my illness through meditation and conducting massage therapy on myself. This process ignited an interest in the connections between mind, body, and therapy based on the influence of my own experience.

In 2016 I joined a meditation school, where two years later, I completed the advanced certificate in meditation, and my preparations to be able to help others in also overcoming stress, anxiety, depression, by understanding the mind’s role in bringing back a sense of balance.

Learning more about the psychology of mindfulness, modern mindfulness and its application in everyday life, offered me a discipline through which I could overcome my stress. I continually advance my studies, including through the teaching of meditation as found in the Buddist tradition.

After completing all my studies in 2018, the connection between body and mind, and through massage became more influential for me. Joining a massage therapist school, where I also qualified as a Remedial Massage therapist. Including professional certification in; acupressure point massage, cupping, kinesiology tape, dry needling. Combining the best of western knowledge with Oriental technique of massage and mind therapy.

I’m both passionate and fascinated by the holistic path, neuroscience and cbt therapy. I will endeavour to study all emerging discipline deeply as to guarantee a high quality of service.

In addition to my work as a therapist and after evaluating my personal experiences, I wrote a book, in Italian, called “The Life Manual that they don’t give you at school”. It’s a profoundly personal, honest and straightforward book. Describing the everyday stresses of 21 century, how we suffer, why the body and the mind are so closely connected, and the ways meditation and lifestyle can help us all overcome stress and anxiety. You can find a copy here.

To this day I’m both passionate and fascinated by the holistic path, neuroscience and cbt therapy. I will endeavour to study all emerging discipline deeply as to guarantee a high quality of service I provide at Enrico MBT.
